Location: Japan (Global role)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Asia’s leading value-based healthcare consulting company. As a Senior Consultant / Research Manager at Vista Health, you will be joining a firm that will challenge you and accelerate your success through coaching, structured training, and a culture of apprenticeship.

In this role, as part of the transition to firm leadership, you’ll learn to gain a wider, deeper perspective across practice areas, refine your leadership skills to inspire others and support the development of analysts and consultants. You’ll also support global clients on strategic decisions and expand your network and visibility in the industry.

Our clients respect and consult us for our senior, expert advice across scientific and commercial domains such as HTA, market access, evidence and value generation, asset strategy and deep insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work autonomously with little input, take ownership of the overall project, and deliver it successfully to help clients achieve or exceed their targeted outcomes
  • When Delivering your projects, make important contributions to project design, analysis, and recommendations; successfully orchestrate your team of consultants and analysts while consulting with subject and functional experts to build a cohesive, engaging and impactful solution for the problem on hand
  • Recognize the importance and actively coach your project team of consultants and analysts in technical and subject matter expertise, as well as in softer skills such as effective communication and a growth mindset
  • Build positive, consultative relationships with clients that result in loyal client relationships and positive word-of-mouth
  • Proactively contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities for follow-on work, new leads and developing innovative proposals with senior leadership guidance that leverage Vista Health’s IP
  • Intensify Vista Health’s positive industry impact by working with senior leaders to develop well-articulated thought leadership assets that present innovative and action-oriented information, insight, knowledge, and guidance for clients
  • Build external relationships with regional clients and liaise with key stakeholder groups e.g. policymakers, providers, industry/academic groups
  • Cultivate and grow talent by inspiring others, leading by example, coaching and performance management for team members; also look out for opportunities to help others succeed
  • Contribute towards firm building and accelerate growth by supporting senior leaders in the implementation and adoption of processes, SOPs, and solutions, including AI/ML, that will allow the firm to scale more quickly and efficiently

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of healthcare consulting experience in any of the following domains: strategy and insights, pricing and market access, value and evidence generation, health economics, HTA, value dossiers, health outcomes, and policy and population health
  • You are respected by your peers and by clients for your solid grasp of frameworks, methodologies and knowledge of key issues and current developments in healthcare
  • A high performer with a proven track record and substantial achievements in your past positions
  • Able to work on multiple projects with excellent project and time management skills
  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground and create opportunities for others to succeed
  • A versatile team player who can work effectively with people across all levels in an organization, comfortable working in a high-energy environment and able to work well under pressure with a proactive outlook
  • An international operator, collaborator and able to work effectively across cultures
  • Results-focused, takes ownership and a strong focus on accountability for personal delivery and successful outcomes of delegated responsibilities
  • Solid functional and subject matter expertise, including but not limited to RWE, market access, HEOR, and project management
  • At ease in communicating complex ideas simply
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English is a must; fluency in another language is a strong bonus. Business level Japanese or higher is a requirement
