Job Summary

The job holder will lead business development activities for the organization in the generic pharmaceutical field, including identifying and evaluating potential business development opportunities in the specific region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze as appropriate the Japanese market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities and optimize business results. Execute continuous market research to identify potential business development opportunities.
  • Coordinate all stages of business development by shaping and applying a strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Identify new tender and partnership opportunities, lead business for tenders and distribution agreements by coordinating company bids, while monitoring tender policies and producing a work strategy.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging the personal network.
  • Oversee the Out-licensing CTD-Dossiers in Japan.
  • Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs, R&D and Intellectual Property functions to facilitate business results.
  • Provide timely reporting, forecasting, and recommendations to senior management in Greece.
  • Manage financial and performance objectives.
  • Participate in various exhibitions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in the field of Life Sciences, Economics and Business
  • Master’s degree in Health Economics, Business Administration (MBA), Economics or any other relevant field is highly appreciated
  • Ideally at least 5 years of professional experience in relevant position in Japan
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical generics market with adequate understanding of the public health environment
  • Deep knowledge and significant experience in the Generic Pharmaceutical field
  • Proven track record in the business development processes with Japan Market and advanced knowledge of the related and legislative standards.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent command of the English language and PC literate (MS Office).
  • Experience in building relationships / networks with key persons and decision makers.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and networking skills, articulate and persuasive in the written and verbal presentation.
  • Strategic mindset, analytical skills and ability to understand & utilize facts, numbers and data.
  • Advanced negotiation and decision-making skills. Ability to represent a company with professionalism and confidence.
  • Drive for success and self-motivation, courage, resilience and agility.
